Privacy Policy
Last updated: 23 June 2026
YateemAC is committed to protecting the privacy of donors, partner charities, and the children we serve. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.
1. Who we are
YateemAC is an orphan-sponsorship and donation platform operated as an initiative of International Aid Charity (IAC). When this policy refers to “we”, “us”, or “the platform”, it means YateemAC and IAC acting as joint data controllers for the processing described here.
2. Information we collect
We collect information you provide directly and information generated as you use the platform:
- Account details — your name, email address, and password when you register.
- Donation details — the amounts, causes, and children you support, and the billing information needed to process a payment.
- Communications — messages you send us and your preferences for updates.
- Technical data — device, browser, and usage information collected to keep the service secure and reliable.
3. How we use your information
We use your information to process donations, connect your support to a named child or campaign, send confirmations and delivery updates, provide customer support, and meet our legal and accounting obligations.
We do not sell your personal information. We never publish identifying details about a child without the explicit consent of their guardian or charity.
4. Payment processing
Payments are handled by our payment partner (Stripe). Your full card details are entered directly with the payment provider and are not stored on YateemAC servers. We retain only the records needed to issue receipts and prevent fraud.
5. Sharing with charities
To deliver your donation, we share the minimum necessary information with the verified charity fulfilling it — for example, that a sponsorship has been funded. We require partner charities to handle this information confidentially and only for the purpose of delivery.
6. Data retention
We keep personal information for as long as your account is active and as required to meet legal, tax, and audit obligations. You may ask us to close your account and delete information we are not required to retain.
7. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, export, or delete your personal information, and to object to or restrict certain processing. To exercise any of these rights, contact us at the address below.
8. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we will update the date above and, where appropriate, notify you directly.
